Thanks to our genial hosts Stuart, Rob, Mathew, Mark and Mike for a second great Mesh conference in Toronto – and the promise of Mesh 3 next year!
Highlights of this year’s Mesh, which wrapped up at the MaRS Discovery Centre this afternoon, are at the Mesh blog.
Did you know there are more than 3300 tech firms in the Greater Toronto area? Or that their exports are worth more than C$6 billion a year?
Those are two reasons why it’s time for Toronto’s first Tech Week, which starts today.
Many Tech Week events are free or low-cost. Check out the schedule.
The program for this month’s Mesh conference in Toronto has just been posted.
The big names (Mike Arrington, Richard Edelman, Rachel Sklar, Austin Hill, etc.) had already been announced, but now we can actually figure out how to hear as many of them as possible on May 30 and 31!
Finalists for the 2007 Canadian New Media Awards were announced yesterday, with a full list available at the CNMA site.
I’ll just highlight two areas of personal interest here. In the news and information category, the finalists are:

And in the social media category:
Remember Us exhibit in Second Life

The awards will be presented May 28 at the start of Toronto Tech Week.
